TP-LINK Deco BE25 Lot de 3

I bought this Mesh system to upgrade my previous system Deco M5. I have to say it well worth the upgrade and it was easy to install using the Deco app. I even 3d printed stand and wall bracket which fitted well into my house decor.

Only decent if paired and operated in line of site. Half speed behind a closed internal door. Installed in a 3 bedroom duplex. Pretty disappointed, should have just stuck with a multi-aerial gaming router, would have doubled the range with a single device. Wish I had done more research before being talked into it. Will now need to fork out another $300 for an additional single module and switch to run all 3 via Ethernet.

The TP-Link Deco 7 BE25 is a very good router for apartments and small homes. It's very small and has a minimalist design that makes it easy to find a place for it in your house. It's also painless to set up with TP-Link's easy-to-use Deco mobile app, though some features, like advanced parental controls, are locked behind a subscription paywall. Performance-wise, this router delivers great speeds for most uses, like downloading large files quickly and multiple devices streaming 4k video simultaneously. Its range is suitable for smaller homes, and you can always add more access points if you need to improve your coverage. Unfortunately, it's let down by its lack of support for the 6GHz band, where the majority of Wi-Fi 7 performance gains lie.

Do not buy this product. After setting the deco units up they worked fine for about 30 minutes before we stopped being able to load anything through them. All units show a green light and the app says they are connected to the internet fine however nothing loads when connected to the network. Restarting the network makes it work for another 30 minutes before it stops working again. It is not an issue with our primary modem as the primary modems network works as intended. Product is completely useless as it does not function as intended.

Veel reviews schrijven de Deco BE25 snel af omdat dit Wi-Fi 7 systeem geen 6 GHz heeft. Dat is jammer, want daarmee wordt het belangrijkste voordeel gemist. Wi-Fi 7 draait niet alleen om een extra band, maar vooral om Multi-Link Operation (MLO). De Deco BE25 kan 2,4 GHz en 5 GHz gelijktijdig gebruiken voor één verbinding. Dit zorgt in de praktijk voor een stabielere verbinding, lagere latency en betere prestaties bij meerdere apparaten. Bij Wi-Fi 6-systemen zoals de Deco X50 Pro wordt per apparaat één band gekozen, terwijl de BE25 dynamisch kan combineren en schakelen. Opvallend is dat dit onderscheid nauwelijks wordt benoemd in reviews, zelfs niet in uitgebreide tests. Voor de meeste huishoudens is dit voordeel relevanter dan 6 GHz, dat een kleiner bereik heeft en nog weinig wordt ondersteund in moderne thuissituaties vandaag praktisch.
