De Huawei Watch 3 Classic Zilver/Bruin valt op door zijn premium design, hoogwaardige materialen en een helder AMOLED-scherm. De batterij gaat tot 3 dagen mee bij normaal gebruik en tot 14 dagen in de spaarstand, wat bovengemiddeld is voor smartwatches. Dankzij eSIM kun je bellen en muziek luisteren zonder je telefoon. Ook zijn er veel gezondheids- en sportfuncties, zoals hartslag- en temperatuurmeting. Nadelen zijn de beperkte app-ondersteuning, geen contactloos betalen in Europa, en soms onnauwkeurige hartslagmeting bij intensief sporten. Sommige functies zijn alleen in China beschikbaar. Overweeg deze smartwatch als je design, batterij en zelfstandige functies belangrijk vindt, maar let op de beperkingen in apps en betalingen.

The Huawei Watch 3 is the first smartwatch to run HarmonyOS, and it's an excellent showcase for the new operating system. Performance is extremely smooth, and the super sharp AMOLED display really shows off what the software has to offer. There's an impressive selection of workout tools pre-installed, but the Watch 3 can't yet compete with the likes of Apple and Google when it comes to additional apps. The lack of third-party tools is a shame, but this should improve over the coming months. This is a smartwatch with a lot of potential, even if it can't fulfil it all just yet,

The Huawei Watch 3 looks and feels great, offers a strong set of features, and it’s one of the best smartwatches for Android users. Harmony OS has the potential to grow into something exciting, although at launch it doesn’t feel that far removed from the GT2 series that went before. To recommend the Watch 3 relies on you valuing the design, because if you take that away, and it’s too close to the GT2 family at three times the price.
