Canon Verrekijker 18X50 IS AW

I have had these for a few weeks now and am impressed with the optical quality and especially the stabilisation. The case is very flimsy and the protection (A sticky patch) covering the fastening on the inner case doesn't reflect the quality of the binoculars and may in time damage the binocular casing. There are no front lens caps so the protection provided by the case is next to useless (These are not cheap and need a more quality case). I think Canon could have upped their case quality for the price.

Quick delivery. The binoculars are excellent. Great image quality and the stabilisation works very well holding the x18 magnified image steady without a tripod. They are heavy, but comfortable to hold and easy to focus.

Great to see distant movement like aircraft then view without wobble!

I purchased these for looking at the night sky, for those occasions when it wasn't convenient to get out the telescope (e.g. when out driving, or when clouds offered quick glimpses of something). First time I used it I was astonished to see what appeared to be four small stars like groupies around Jupiter, which turned out to be four of Jupiter's moons. I had no idea seeing these would be possible through binoculars, but sure enough I've repeated the exercise on multiple occasions and they show changing positions in keeping with moons in orbit. Detail of the moon is impressive too. The binoculars have a button you can press when looking at distant objects and it really does stabilise the image. It's almost magical. Really pleased.
