Canon Verrekijker 10X30 IS II

I purchased this approx 10 -15 years ago they are great binoculars and the IS system works brilliantly, However the soft touch rubberised coating becomes sticky rendering them unusable, I do not expect this kind of cheap material from a brand like canon. Very disappointing wont be buying any of their binoculars again as i couldn’t trust them to last any significant period.

I had lost my old binoculars and needed a new set. At my age there can be a tremor when holding binoculars for a while so was interested in the stabilised set. The new set meet my requirements fully. My garden swarms with birds and now I can see every feather without a shake.

Fantastic piece of technology for people who have shaky hands (or heads). Wife is very happy with them as her head shake prevented her from using regular non- stabilized binoculars. As for the rubber getting sticky my brother has the same binoculars about 10 years old which are not sticky at all. After researching problem I believe the rubber problem is due to DEET or other anti-bug chemicals on the hands effecting the rubber compound - so keep your hands free of chemicals or lotions.

Purchase these image stabilized binoculars for friend of mine who has a boat. He loves them. They really do steady things out especially when the boat is rocking. They also are the perfect size not too big/not too small.
