Compared to most other binoculars of this type and this sort of price, these represent as good value for money as anything, anywhere. I paid £100 more for a pair of Celestron 8x42 binoculars three or four years ago - which don't get me wrong, they're extremely good – and I would be hard pressed to say there was anything in it, whether the quality of build, or quality of image at the eyeball. I wanted a pair of 10 by 50s as I live on the north west coast of Scotland, and I sometimes want to look further than the trees/birds at the end of my garden. Having that little bit of extra magnification, with an extremely similar field of view to the 8 x 42s, I think it's money well spent.

Excellent service from Castle Cameras. I originally bought a different make of binocular and unfortunately got a faulty one. My money was refunded immediately once the item had been inspected. I then asked for help choosing an alternative and bought the Hawke binoculars. These were more expensive but well worth the extra money; the quality of construction is excellent, the accessories are of decent quality and the warranty is comprehensive.
