Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro

Bought to complement a BMPCC4k. I love the BMD menu system - it makes all other camera systems I have used look like a nightmare. There is a slightly weird set of resolutions split between BRAW and ProRes, I would have preferred all resolutions to have been available in BRAW as that is my preferred codec. Tiptoeing through them and the assortment of crops is a bit of a dance, but I'll get used to it. All the controls are right under my fingers, it is a joy to use. The colour that comes out of that camera is gorgeous.

Used for documentary and training shoots. The hinged display is a huge improvement over the 4k. Coupled with the EVF it will be much easier on high sunlight shoots such as southern Italy in the summer (four times this year with the 4k, I had to buy an HDMI EVF in the end!). The built in ND filters will be a real boon for that job next year. BRAW is a terrific codec, love working with it.

Great Product! Battery runs out quick but it is something I knew about beforehand.

regret buying this camera so much. Nothing but issues on shoots. SD cards wouldn't work even though they UHD 2 with 150mbps write speed... soon as I go to 50FPS massive issues so we couldn't do a any slow mo footage. It also is extremely heavy, on the DJI RS3 gimble has issues with the roll axis and just was clunky. Compared to the FUJI HS-2, I regret so much not buying that camera.
