De Philips Shaver Series 5000 S5887/50 wordt geprezen om zijn comfortabele scheerbeurt, vooral voor mensen met een gevoelige huid. De batterij gaat lang mee en is snel op te laden, wat handig is voor dagelijks gebruik. De flexibele scheerkop volgt de gezichtscontouren goed en het apparaat is geschikt voor zowel nat als droog scheren, zelfs onder de douche. Nadelen zijn de beperkte bruikbaarheid van de trimmer, die niet in alle richtingen vastgezet kan worden, en het feit dat het scheerresultaat minder glad is dan bij een traditioneel scheermesje. Ook wordt de plaatsing van de knoppen soms als onhandig ervaren en kan het loshalen van de trimmer op termijn tot slijtage leiden. Over het algemeen is het een veelzijdig en gebruiksvriendelijk scheerapparaat, maar wie een ultra-glad resultaat zoekt, moet rekening houden met deze beperkingen.

Excellent service all round, I purchased a much dearer model but it was on half price and it was worth the extra money all day, I get an excellent shave from an electric shaver just as I did with a wet shave, well done Phillips.Keep up the good work .

This my first experience with a rotary and sad to say I'm not too impressed. I chose the 5000 series because of the faster revs but it just doesn't give me a clean shave. The motor seems to labour and I have to go over my beard many times to get some smoothness. I now alternate between a wet blade shave and the Phillips, not what I was hoping for. It's well made, cleaning is a doddle, but rather disappointing..

Like.... good close shave, good quality manufacturing, easy to clean, decent battery lifeNot so good... shame existing Philips charger and accessories from my old shaver could not be transferred.... cleaning tank, charger, replacement foils etc....

My old electric razor broke after about 20 years of use so I chose another Phillips. Shaves close and lasts a reasonable time between charges. Good all round product.
